individual research contributions to group project

The contributions I have made to the research project:

  • During the meeting, I contributed to the minutes and took down important points from the topics each member pitched. After the meeting, I looked up relevant sources, such as online articles and academic websites, to explore the potential advantages and disadvantages for each topic raised. I then added this information to support our decision-making process.
  • When creating the problem and purpose statements, as a scribe, I wrote down what was discussed in my team. Subsequently, I used ChatGPT to help refine the ideal-gap-goal, as well as the problem and purpose statements.
  • To pitch our topic to the class, I referred to the document of the ideal-gap-goal and statements and drafted the pitch. With the help of ChatGPT, I used it to provide me with a guideline on the important points needed to be mentioned and included.
  • We split up the work for the proposal report writing, and I contributed to the benefits and evaluation section. I also edited the heading and alignment of the sections.
  • For the oral presentation, I was initially in charge of the benefits and the potential challenges that we might face in adopting our technology, which led me to do the slides for these two sections. Following this, we decided to rearrange the sections as they were heavily repetitive. I then presented solely on the potential challenges.
  • For our consultation, I uploaded the third draft of our technical report into the folder. With the help of the sample report from previous students and ChatGPT, I was able to identify the key points needed and drafted the conclusion. I also edited the problem statement according to the clarifications we had from previous classes.

  1. Dear Kylie,

This is well detailed post. Thanks for the great effort with all you did as scribe and then reporting it!

I appreciate the descriptions. What do you mean when you write that "I did some research"? Please be more precise.

I look forward to learning more about your current research process.
